By the 1st April 2009 the number of abonents of wideband Internet access in Ukraine made 1,75 million people according to the research results of “IKS-Consulting” company. Thus, the number of private abonents of wideband access in the first quarter 2009 increased by 11% in comparison with the fourth quarter 2008, from 1,36 million to 1,51 million. The number of corporative abonents of wideband access in Ukraine increased in the first quarter 2009 in comparison with the fourth quarter 2008, by 0,8% from 7,7% to 8,5%. According to the estimates of IKS-Consulting experts, during the accounting period the volume of income on providing services of wideband Internet access in Ukraine has made 71 million USD.
